Integrated agency Liven Creative moved into Tannery House in January 2011. With both founding directors living close by, it’s the ideal location – far less time commuting to and from the work we love, and close to major routes so visiting clients can find us easily. There’s plenty of parking, too.
Our offices are on the first floor at 4 Tannery House, overlooking the River Wey. As an integrated design agency, having nature on our doorstep is always a source of inspiration and reflection, and we have a first-class view of the changing seasons. The riverside location is also great for taking a break from work – running alongside the water, or just relaxing on its banks.
Clients often ask us to respond quickly to their needs, and we often have to turn around high-quality work fast, which means dealing with large files and tight deadlines. So while location is important, a fast internet connection is essential. Fortunately, Tannery House recognises this, and has two high-speed lines serving the building, so we can meet our clients’ needs and expectations comfortably, and not worry about bandwidth.
The building’s owners are excellent. They’re always looking for new ways to improve the workspace and facilities, and they’re very hands-on and responsive. For example they’ve just installed a new, fully secure bike rack so tenants can ride into work – and know they’ll be able to ride home again, too!
Having such a variety of businesses within Tannery House makes it a great source of expertise and knowledge, too. Since Liven Creative arrived here in 2011, we’ve worked alongside a range of professions, learning about all kinds of things. There’s a sense of community here, and it’s great to help other businesses of similar size, sharing experience and services where we can. And, as Liven Creative grows, we know there’s room for us to expand within Tannery House.
